NCMP: Changes in children

This report is the fifth in a series of annual reports which use National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) data to examine the changes in children’s body mass index (BMI) that have taken place since 2006/07.


This paper presents recent evidence behind the relationship between obesity, cardiorespiratory fitness and mortality, and briefly explores the main public health implications.
